The concept of a dungeon crawl makes so much more sense in space. I can understand a space station full of angry people and treasure a great deal better.
Who builds dungeons and then stocks it with monsters? What keeps the monsters from killing each other? If you live in a lightless cave, how did you acquire enough of anything to make it monetarily worth killing you?
Plus D&D doesn't have Floating Amoeboids.
