In a fit of figures tonight. I wanted to know how fast the ship "The Tiger Shark" is going to be in my campaign. She can do about 13% the speed of light.
Let's say 36,000 KPS.
The fellas wanna go Bar Hopping on Barsoom.
They pack up and the locals are nice enough to help them out of the well.
Off she goes.
54.6 Million Kilometers. With a full tank of gas and half a pack of cigarettes.
Now if the boys just buzz the tower. By 300Km or so. They could do it in just a tidge over a day. 25 hours and 16 minutes. Their time. SST (Ship Standard Time). They would have been traveling, if you were watching from a telescope, for 25 hours and 29 minutes. And thus we start having to deal with time travel.
But, you know what they say about time travel. It keeps ya young.
